Service Description

Jewellery Making 10 week course This course is suitable for beginners or anyone with minimal experience with silver smithing. We will start with using copper to learn basic techniques such as how to anneal metal, filing, forming, cutting metal with a piercing saw, adding texture and soldering. There is a set scheme of work with each week covering different skills. These skills will then be utilised in a bezel setting project. This course includes 1 project in silver - A bezel set ring or halo pendant (either a gemstone, dichroic glass cabochon or sea glass) and silver and stones for this will be supplied along with lots of copper for practicing each technique. This course runs for 10 weeks with a week off during October half term. Therefor there is no class on 1st November and the final class will be 29th November (Total of 10 sessions).
