Service Description

Jewellery Making 10 week course This course is designed for people who have previously attended the 10 week beginners course, equivalent intensive course or students with some prior knowledge and experience of basic jewellery making techniques. The scheme of work for this course is a lot more fluid than that of the beginners course meaning students will have time to work on their own designs and continue practicing techniques. I will also include some other techniques not previously covered such as tube setting stones in a ring making project and enamelled copper jewellery. This course includes an optional tube setting project and there will be a £5 charge for materials for this should you wish to join in. We can also do some enamelled copper jewellery and there will be a £5 charge of this to cover the cost of materials. (These projects are optional) Students will be responsible for supplying their own silver for projects but will continue to have access to a wide range of jewellery making tools and equipment. Other projects can be covered on request such as collet setting, flush setting, claw setting, Delft clay casting, keum-boo and more. This will discussed at the start of the course. Students will be responsible for suppling any silver needed for projects. This course runs for 10 weeks with a week off during May half term therefor there is no class on May 31st and the final class will be June 28th (Total of 10 sessions)
