Service Description

Accent spinner ring 10 - 5 pm  SKILL LEVEL - beginner to intermediate (a little more technically advanced than other sessions) prior silver soldering experience is an advantage.   This workshop is a slight variation of the spinner ring session however during this workshop you will add one spinner to your ring with accent shape attached. We will start by practicing some texturing techniques before choosing one to add to the main part of the ring/band. Once the main part of the ring is textured, cut to size, formed and soldered, you will make a simple slim ring from round wire as the spinner. Finally you will add a solderable accent shape to this ring before assembling everything. There will be a few different accent designs to choose from such as flower, heart, star, moon, circle or butterfly plus a few other options which may include some gold filled options (gold fill options will depend on supplies available at the time of the course). You can choose to create a mini scene such as a landscape and attach a moon accent for example that then spins around the scene. Or use stamps to create a flower and leaf pattern in a garden like scene and attach a butterfly accent that then 'flies' around as it spins. Alternatively you can just add a hammer texture to the main part of the band and add any of the shapes. There will be plenty of design options to personalise your spinner ring as I have lots of stamps to choose from and a variety of textures can be achieved with hammers.
