Bezel setting workshop 10-4 pm

Saturday 16th July

  • Starts 16 Jul
  • 75 British pounds
  • Wettenhall Road

Service Description

Bezel setting a gemstone, dichroic glass cabochon or sea glass - (finish time is an estimate as sessions often run over) This workshop is better suited to those with some silver soldering experience (not with a soldering iron) and prior silver smithing experience. You will make a ring or halo pendant from silver wire, create the bezel setting for either a small gemstone, dichroic glass cabochon or sea glass and then solder it onto the ring base or attached a bail before finally setting a stone/glass of your choice. Silver and small stones/sea glass are provided however please feel free to bring your own stone/sea glass if you have something you want to use. The option to 'upgrade' to a larger gemstone may be available on the day and a quantity of larger gemstones and additional silver will be available to buy if you wish to do this. Please note this is dependant on the supply of stones I have available on the day of the workshop. A typical example of a stone included in the price of the course would be a 10 mm dichroic glass cabochon, similar sized round gemstone or sea glass. Larger stones available are for example a 25 mm x 18 mm irregular shaped labradorite, Larimar or opal etc. This upgrade option is only recommended for people confident with soldering and saw piercing.
