Beginners silver project - A bezel set ring or halo pendant (either a gemstone, dichroic glass cabochon or sea glass) and silver and stones for this will be supplied along with lots of copper for practicing each technique. Returning students/improvers- For people who have previously attended the 6, 8 or 10 week beginners course or students with some prior knowledge and experience of basic jewellery making techniques, the scheme of work is a lot more fluid than that of the beginners course meaning students will have time to work on their own designs and continue practicing techniques. I will also include some other techniques not previously covered such as tube setting stones in a ring making project and enamelled copper jewellery. Returning students have 1 project in silver and silver and a choice of Swarovski crystals are supplied. Students will be responsible for supplying their own silver for any other projects they wish to undertake. Any students who have previously attended the returners course will be supplied with a small amount of silver to put towards a project. (ie some silver wire, equivalent of a ring). This course runs for 10 weeks with a week off during February half term (no class on February 24th so the final class will be 24th March. Total of 10 sessions)
