Service Description

Rings and things workshop is suitable for beginners or those with some prior experience. This workshop revolves around making rings and other circular things with wire. You can use a maximum of 20 cm of either round or square sterling silver wire and basically you will make anything circular. For example you could make - * A set of 2 or 3 simple stacking rings (depending on size and design chosen) * A halo pendant * An infinity pendant * A Russian wedding ring or pendant * Hoop or round drop earrings * A simple ring and halo pendant (using additional metals such as brass or copper) You will practice with copper first making a simple ring and you can incorporate this into your finished design if you wish. Wire can be textured or twisted to add detail. The amount of 'rings' you get out of the maximum allocated silver will depend on your ring size and what you decide to make. Some designs such as twisted wire will use more silver and if you choose anything interlinked such as the infinity necklace or Russian wedding ring these are more time consuming to make. Hoop earrings take time to solder on the posts so it is best to focus on one item. (You may not necessarily get to use the full 20 cm of allocated wire, it is also time dependant)
