Tube Set Wishbone Ring or Pendant

Starts 17 Aug
60 British pounds

Service Description

Skill Level - Beginner/intermediate (this session is slightly more challenging so it is beneficial to have attended a session before) The soldering involved in this class is a little more advanced than other workshops so prior attendance of a workshop that involves soldering would be an advantage. During this session you will make either a silver wishbone ring with a tube set 3 mm cubic zirconia stone or a teardrop shaped pendant with a tube set 4 mm stone . We will start by making a wishbone ring or teardrop from copper to practice the necessary skills and perfect the size and shape. You will then repeat the process in silver and solder on a small pre-made setting for a faceted CZ stone. There will be the option to choose either a silver or a gold filled setting (the band will be silver regardless of setting choice). The gemstone is then set using a bezel setting method. I won't be teaching you to create your own tube settings during this workshop, it's pre-made settings only. There will be a short 30 minute lunch break during this session so I recommend bringing lunch with you. Materials included - slim silver wire for a ring or tear drop shaped pendant plus setting and a CZ stone. A 16 " fine chain will be supplied should you choose a pendant.
