Thank you for visiting the Cheshire School of Jewellery. Workshops are run by myself, Lisa Taylor (that's me above at graduation). I am a fully qualified and experienced teacher having gained a PcET (PGCE) within the post compulsory sector. As part of my training I completed a year long teacher training placement within the jewellery department at Wrexham University.  In addition I graduated from Wrexham University with a B.A Hon's in Applied Art and a M.A in Art Practice, specialising in jewellery design.  I also have experience as a jewellery lecturer at a north west college and I am a practicing artist making jewellery. I am enhanced DBS checked, a member of the Society for Education and Training and also the Guild of Jewellery Designers.

I spent a number of years making beaded jewellery and I have had designs feature in 'Bead' magazine and also several books. I also spent time studying and making silver clay jewellery before deciding to study silversmithing full time, which led me to Glyndwr University in Wrexham to study for my Degree in applied Art. I work with a variety of materials when making jewellery including silver, aluminium, gold, resin, jesmonite, paper, wood and also textiles. I also have qualifications in fashion design and worked for the family bridal wear business for a number of years.

I have recently launched 'The Cheshire Jewellery company' which is where the majority of my own work is now sold. In addition to the jewellery available to buy on the 'jewellery shop' page of this website, you will also find items for sales at-
