- How to Book -
Courses are booked via the 'courses' page. Just click on the course you want and then select the 'book now' button. Payment can be made either by paypal or debit/credit card. Please make sure you enter the correct email address when booking. This will ensure you receive your booking confirmation and further information on how to find me etc shortly before your course.
- Terms and conditions of Booking, refund policy and cancellations -
All courses must be booked and paid for in full in advance. I am unable to reserve or hold places on courses. This also applies to specially arranged group bookings. Once a date has been discussed and agreed the full payment is required via the website booking facility to secure that date. This should be done within 7 days of requesting a date and the booking been made available on the courses booking page or invoice issued.
Booking for the majority of courses closes 3-4 days before the event. If insufficient numbers are booked onto a class at this point the course will be cancelled or rescheduled.
Most courses need a minimum of 3 or 4 people for the course to run. If a course has to be cancelled due to lack of interest then a full refund will be given or the offer of transferring to another suitable course.

Once a course has been booked you are entitled to 14 days to change your mind and receive a refund. If you cancel beyond the 14 day cooling off period then unfortunately you are not entitled to a refund however in this instance please contact me to discuss your options. (Refunds may be subject to an administration fee) Please only book if you except these terms and conditions. If the course you have booked is due to take place within the 14 day cooling off period then refunds will be subject to a cancellation fee).
If you begin a longer course of jewellery making and are unable to attend some session I will try to offer you the option of attending an alternative session (within that term). This will be at a time and date mutually agreed. If at any time missed sessions can't be accommodated then unfortunately that time will be lost. I will however try my best to fit you in but if other classes are being taught then it is not always possible (It is not possible to transfer to a later start date due to missing a session).  If a jewellery course is started and you decided you no longer want to attend I will again try to transfer you to another course within that term however refunds or part refunds will not be given. Please only book if you except these terms and conditions.

Please note that places on future workshops can not be held back to enable somebody to transfer courses and gift vouchers, jewellery or materials will not be issued in place of any refund.
If you are within the 14 day cooling off period and wish to change your booking please contact me so I can move your booking over. This is an easier option than booking a new session and then requesting a refund for the original booking (all payment processing companies charge a fee for handling the payment and they don't refund this to me regardless of when a refund is issued).

Cancellations/non attendance - if you are unable to attend any course or workshop then refunds will only be given if you are within the 14 day cooling off period following payment. Beyond that time then a refund will only be issued if your place can be sold to somebody else. Your place will be made available for others to book and a refund will only be issued once that place is sold. Any refund issued at this point will be minus a processing fee. If you fail to attend a workshop with no notification given then places will be lost and no refund given. This also applies If you are still within the 14 day cooling off.

Although covid restrictions are no longer in place, please do not attend a class or workshop if you are testing positive for Covid as this puts all other attendees at risk. If you need to reschedule a place due to testing positive for covid 19 I will try to fill your place so that you can be moved to an alternative session.

Places can only be moved to alternative dates once so please make sure you are available before committing to a new date. I will always try my best to accommodate students if courses can not be attended so if in doubt please do contact me.
- Additional Term and Conditions of Booking -
All workshops and courses are copyright of Lisa Taylor @Cheshire School of Jewellery. This covers the course content, format and images of work created during workshops. All workshops are created with the intention of teaching students how to make items of jewellery, jewellery making skills or to create a piece of jewellery to take home and keep and are intended for that purpose only. Courses and workshops are NOT intended to teach others how to teach a course in whole or in part and should not be used in this way without prior consent from myself. Images of work created during a 1 day workshop or longer course remain copyrighted and owned by Cheshire School of Jewellery and should not be used to advertise any jewellery making course or workshop (an image for the purpose of selling a piece of jewellery is permitted providing it is your own image). Teachers wishing to learn a new skill are permitted to attend a course but should inform me at the time of booking if they intend to incorporate the skill into a class or workshop and should implement their newly acquired skill into their own lesson plan. Any teacher wanting to implement skills should also check that there is no future conflict of interest.

In a nutshell, you are permitted to use your own images of items made at The Cheshire School of Jewellery if you wish to sell on a piece of jewellery, but not as part of a workshop or course. Students do not have permission to use or duplicate,  in whole or in part any content given during any course or workshop for the purpose of teaching others. Teachers can attend to learn a new skill providing it is used within a wider lesson plan and is not a complete or partial copy/duplication of the session attended. Teachers should also consider if there is any conflict of interest. If in doubt please email to ask for further assistance or information on this matter.

- How to find the workshop -

The workshop is located at Gate Fram rural enterprise park. It is a lovely peaceful setting in the heart of the Cheshire countryside and is situated not far from the A51, close to Snugbury's ice-cream and Reaseheath College. The postcode for a sat nav is CW5 6LH.  If in doubt put the full address of the workshop into the sat nav as that usually works. If you can use 'google maps' then putting 'Cheshire school of Jewellery' in to the search will also locate it.  There is ample parking in the main carpark but also additional spaces situated close to the workshop if you have difficulty walking. Please contact me if you would like details on how to find this car park. Please aim to arrive around 10 - 15 minutes before the start of your session.

** please note the carpark close to the workshop has very limited space so please use the main carpark unless you have difficulty walking**

- Workshop Safety -

Clothing - Please wear clothes suitable for a workshop environment. No loose ties or scarfs please or open toe shoes. If you wear glasses for reading or close up vision then please bring these with you. Long hair must also be tied back. Aprons must be worn when using the gas torches and these are provided. Please keep in mind this is a workshop environment with tools and equipment used during the making process that can be dangerous if not used correctly with safety in mind. Please use all equipment sensibly and as instructed.
