Starts 20 Jun
70 British pounds
Wettenhall Road

Service Description

Skill Level - intermediate (Sorry no beginners on this workshop) please see the description for more details. This session is not aimed at beginners. It is a skills based workshop for experienced makers wanting to expand on their stone setting skills. You should be able to solder and make a ring to size independently (without support) and knowledge of other stone setting techniques would be an advantage. You should have attended a weekly beginners course or similar course rather than a couple of 1 day workshops or have attended multiple day sessions and have a good understanding of the soldering process. During this session you will create a rustic claw set ring using some round or half round wire for the shank and you will create a claw setting from wire for a small sea glass pebble or it may be possible to set a raw gemstone depending on supplies available on the day of the session (a raw gemstone is a rough un-faceted stone or crystal) I will have a supply of small sea glass pebbles and a few raw gemstone (there may be additional charge for raw gemstones) or please feel free to bring your own and we can check for suitability but please note there will be size limitations.
