Jewellery School - 3 day intensive course This course is suitable for beginners and is a great introduction to jewellery making. Day 1 - Will be spent mastering some basics. Starting with using copper you will learn basic techniques such as how to anneal metal, filing, forming, cutting metal with a piercing saw and adding texture. Day 2 - We will spend the day concentrating on soldering by making a ring from copper to practice sizing etc. You can then make 2 - 3 rings from 20 cm of slim round silver wire and this is enough to make either a set of 3 simple stacking rings and you can texture or add a wave design or you can interlink 2 of the silver rings to make a necklace. Day 3 - You will make a bezel set ring or pendant creating the whole setting from scratch. You can set either a gemstone, dichroic glass cabochon or sea glass. This is a 3 day intensive course that includes the following projects with the following materials supplies- Copper to practice initial techniques. 20 cm of slim round wire for day 2. 1 x Bezel set ring or halo pendant - All sterling silver plus a stone supplied (gemstone, sea glass or glass cabochon).
