Service Description

* New Workshop * - This workshop is a new take on the previous charm bangle workshop and is suitable for beginners. You will make your own sterling silver bangle using slim silver wire (either round or square wire) and create a small pebble charm that you can customise with a stamped design or initial. The session will cover a variety of techniques and skills and we will start the day practicing some stamping onto metal so that you can test out the technique and choose a design to add to your charm later. I have a wide range of punches including flowers, leaves, feathers, zodiac symbols, marine life, animals/widelife/reptiles, symbols such as yin/yang, stars, moons and hearts to name a few. There are also letter and numbers if you would like to add an initial to your charm. You will then make 1 sterling silver bangle that you can customise by either using one of the metal bangles dies (a tool that acts like a press to create waves in the bangle) or you can change the shape to create an oval bangle, square, trillion or octagon shapes. Once your bangle has been made we will melt down scrap silver to create a little nugget of silver that will be formed into a pebble and you can add your chosen stamped design. You will then solder on a jump ring/bail and attache to the bangle. You will be supplied with enough sterling silver wire for your bracelet and a small amount of scrap sterling silver to create your charm plus the necessary jump rings/findings.
