Service Description

* New Workshop * - This workshop is a new take on the previous charm bangle workshop and is suitable for beginners. It is a great taster session that covers a little silversmithing and some basics of silver clay. We will start the day making a small charm from silver clay with some moulds to create a perfect charm. There are several designs available such as shells, flowers, leaves, bee or lady bird ect. This will then be left to dry out in order to refine and fire later in the day. Then while it is drying you will make your sterling silver bangle using silver wire (2 mm slim round) and traditional silver smithing techniques. You can customise it by either using one of the metal bangles dies (a tool that acts like a press to create waves in the bangle) or you can change the shape to create an oval bangle, square, trillion or octagon shapes. Once your charm is dried and refine you will fire it with a torch and then solder on a jump ring/bail and attache to the bangle. You will be supplied with enough 2 mm round sterling silver wire for your bracelet (this will be a slim stacking bangle) and a small amount of silver clay (around 3.5 grams) to create a small charm plus the necessary jump rings/findings.
